Teachers pelted by mysterious stones

Musita Primary School in Gokwe's Nemangwe area has been left deserted after teachers fled their houses claiming they are being pelted with stones by some invisible beings.

The mysterious pelting is said to have started last month, with stones raining on the Headmistress' house destroying the roof and household property.

A maid who was sleeping inside the house managed to escape. Two other houses were also showered with stones in the middle of the night.

When the News crew arrived at the school, parents whose children attend the school were gathered outside the premises for a meeting which they had organised to try and find a solution to the problem.

The puzzled villagers told the news crew that when they visited the school following reports of the bizarre incident they were shocked to see that the stones were falling like rain on rooftops.

The tormented community is currently struggling to raise four hundred dollars to pay for the services of a traditional healer popularly known as Tsikamutanda to try and solve the mystery.

So far they have managed to raise thirty dollars.

Some teachers who claimed they were being strangled by invisible forces have already vacated two houses that are reported to have been seriously affected by this unusual phenomenon.

The petrified school staff and the school head declined to comment referring all questions to the Provincial Director for Education, Mrs Agness Gudo.

In a telephone interview Mrs Gudo confirmed education authorities have twice visited the school and have recommended that Chief Nemangwe should try to find a solution as the problem appears to be spiritual.
