Man rapes churchmate, leaves her unconscious

A BINGA man landed himself in murky waters after he failed to control his sexual zest and allegedly raped a church mate.
The State case as presented by prosecutor, Mr Bruce Ndlovu, was that on IS August the accused, Enock Munsaka, from Siansale in Binga reportedly set an ambush for the complainant who was also on her way home.
Munsaka was said to have followed his victim all the way from church until they reached a secluded place where he struck her on the head with a log.
The accused reportedly took the opportunity and raped the complainant until she lost consciousness. Upon realising what had transpired, the accused fled from the scene.
When she regained consciousness, she recalled what had transpired and reported the matter to the police.
A manhunt was launched leading to the accused being arrested.
Munsaka appeared before Binga magistrate, Mr Stephen Ndlovu, and pleaded guilty to assault and rape charges.
Munsaka was remanded in custody to 2 September.
