ZIMASSET will never deliver ZANU PF's manifesto

The Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio Economic Transformation (ZIMASSET) economic blue print will never turn arround the fortunes of the country and deliver ZANU PF's 2013 election manifesto.
This is an assertion of a majority of Zimbabweans interviewed in a Bulawayo24 survey carried on a wide random selection of respondents in and outside the country. A hooping 90% of the people interviewed believed that the economic blue print is far from meeting the expectations of the ZANU PF manifesto.
The respondents believe that the two policies, are extremely opposite of each other and can not compliment. According to them the ZANU PF manifesto emphasises on indigenisation, empowerment and employment creation an opposite of ZIMASSET which emphasises on foreign direct investment and value addition to business.
"There is no way indigenisation and FDI are expected to work together. The indigenisation policy wants investors at 51 - 49% relationship where as international investors prefer a 70 - 30 relationship so automaticaly FDI falls off and job creation dies," says one respondent.
"We always hear ZIMASSET but it has never been explained to us. We voted for the manifesto not ZIMASSET so government must deliver the manifesto not ZIMASSET," said one confessed ZANU PF supporter.
10% believed that the economic blue print will deliver the manifesto and blamed its slow progress on sanctions and none cooperation of the opposition and some non governmental organisations.
80% of those that believe ZIMASSET will fail are members of the opposition with 20% of them claiming to be ZANU PF members. 100% who believe it will succeed all claim to be ZANU PF.
