'Dr Amai' scoffs at VP hopefuls

UNRESTRAINED First Lady Grace Mugabe 'Dr Amai', who is currently Zanu-PF politician of the moment, today waded into the party's vacant Vice Presidency post debacle saying those vying for the post should be ready to work with her husband president Mugabe if they are elected into office and not be a liability to the country.
The Women's League leadership nominee was speaking during her well subscribed meet-the-people rally in Phelandaba stadium in Matabeleland South capital Gwanda.
Commenting on the VP post debate for the first time, Grace knew that her mockery will reach its intended recipients since those jockeying for the coveted post hail from Matabeleland South.
"We want hard working people not people who want to be vice presidents and be a liability to president Mugabe and Zimbabwe. Let us stop vote buying and leading youths astray. Now we have five people saying they want to be vice presidents, (relax) dzikamai," Grace said sarcastically.
The five VP hopefuls are Simon Khaya Moyo, former Ambassador to South Africa and fellow founding Zipra commander Phelekezela Mphoko, Home Affairs Minister Kembo Mohadi, ZANU-PF Politburo member Ambrose Mutinhiri and Zanu-PF politburo member and former PF-Zapu national chairman Naison Khutshwekhaya Ndlovu.
The First Lady also reprimanded Zanu-PF officials, without naming them saying they were plotting to oust Mugabe instead of waiting for their opportunity to rule to come.
