The Zanu-PF Secretary for Economic Affairs, Dr Obert Mpofu, has blasted the Secretary for Administration, Didymus Mutasa for blocking the allocation of party vehicles to Matabeleland North province on grounds of factionalism.

The matter came to the fore at a Zanu-PF provincial coordinating committee meeting held in Lupane, where it was revealed that out of the country's ten provinces, Matabeleland North is the only one which was never allocated a single vehicle.

Meanwhile, the province has met its target for congress by raising $300 000, with Dr Mpofu raising $200 000, Professor Jonathan Moyo $70 000 and Hwange Colliery Company $30 000.

Mpofu said Mutasa deliberately sabotaged Matabeleland North province for refusing to be part of their faction, adding one of the vehicles was allocated to a young lady from another province.

He said the matter was taken to Nicholas Goche, the Zanu-PF national chairman Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo and the First Lady, Dr Grace Mugabe during her 'Meet The People' rally in Lupane.
