A BID by a Hwange man to buy the silence of a 14 year-old juvenile by offering her mangoes hit a snag when she exposed him for f-ndling her breasts and buttocks resulting in his arrest.
Nineteen-year-old Brighton Moyo of Chezya in Hwange, allegedly sampled the 14 year-old girl's assets (name withheld) after his advances were turned down.
A source close to the development told B-Metro that Moyo was fishing along the Zambezi River when the budding teenager walked by. Unable to resist her charms he dumped his business and called the girl who was sending some fishing worms to her brother before making attempts to register his interest.
"Moyo then gave her three mangoes after which he grabbed her before f-ndling her breasts and buttocks several times while holding her firmly. The girl screamed for help prompting her brother and some of us to rush to the scene to investigate," said one fisherman who refused to be named.
Moyo was almost torn to pieces by the teenager's brother after she narrated what had happened exposing Moyo and he was only saved by a village elder who advised the brother to report the matter to the Neighbourhood Watch Committee members.
Moyo was subsequently arrested and is expected to appear in court on Friday facing a charge of indecent assault.
