A WOMAN scalded her sleeping husband and two-year-old daughter with boiling water while they slept after accusing him of infidelity. Tambudzai Madzitiredzo, 20, of Gweru, then bit off part of her husband's privates, a court heard.
Tragically, the baby died two weeks later from her injuries.
Yesterday, Madzitiredzo was jailed for three years by Gweru regional magistrate Collert Ncube after admitting culpable homicide and assault charges.
Ndamukanei Chikuni, prosecuting, told the court that on a date in August 2008, Madzitirezo and her husband had a fight after she accused him of cheating on her with another woman.
At around 11PM, Madzitirezo got out of bed and went to the kitchen and took boiling water from a kettle.
She returned to the bedroom and poured it onto her husband and daughter who were fast asleep.
She went on to bite off her husband's manhood, telling him that he was lucky it was not cooking oil otherwise he would be dead.
Madzitiredzo's husband and daughter suffered horrific injuries and were admitted at Gweru Provincial Hospital where the couple's daughter would later die.
