Zimbabwe's third largest city, Gweru City Council has set aside 2 000 high density residential stands for house development by interested financial institutions in Mkoba village 21.
The city's town clerk, Daniel Matawu said the council was inviting banks and building societies to develop the high density residential stands for allocation.
He said stands had already been surveyed but are serviced.
The financial institutions who purchase the stands will be expected to develop the them, at own costs as well as provide on-site infrastructure like roads, storm water drainage, eater sewerage and electricity reticulation and construction of core houses.
A host of financial houses are carrying out various housing development projects meant to ease the country debilitating housing backlog.
