Kasukuwere rescues Sithembiso Nyoni

Zanu PF politburo member Sithembiso Nyoni has been rescued from the wrath of party colleagues in Matabeleland North after calling them shallow.

Nyoni was saved by the intervention of party national political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere who visited the province at the weekend.

Before Kasukuwere's visit Nyoni had been barred from attending celebrations for politburo members in Binga and the province demanding an apology from the minister.

The provincial youth league had also threatened to demonstrate against Nyoni and block her from attending provincial meetings.

Kasukuwere told the province to stop engaging in unnecessary fights and focus on building the party.
"You need to respect and support each other. Let bygones be bygones," he said.

"If you had a grudge over a previous incident, let it go now and move on."

Nyoni had not attended the first provincial meeting held at the beginning of this month as colleague members were baying for her blood.

She was in attendance in yesterday's meeting.
