Headmaster impregnates pupil

A headmaster and pupil love affair at a school in the Midlands Province has resulted in the pupil getting pregnant much to the disgust of other teachers who feel he should be fired.
The headmaster of the Gokwe South school did not deny responsibility of the pregnancy when the School Development Committee held a meeting also attended by the pupil's parents.
At the end of the meeting, the headmaster pledged to marry the schoolgirl but her parents shot down the idea because he is "too old for her."
Ever since, there has been no headway on the matter with some holding a view that the school's name would be damaged if it came out.
The issue now forms part of gossip doing the rounds at the school and surrounding areas.
A teacher who spoke to B-Metro unpacked how the relationship began to a point of the girl expecting a child.
"From mid last year, the girl and the headmaster became increasingly close to an extent that some teachers and pupils came to suspect that they were in love.
"At times she bragged to her friends that even when she erred teachers would not punish her as she was close to the headmaster and they were communicating extensively. It was not until the end of this last school year that the girl suspected that she was pregnant," said the teacher.
With the matter having been discussed at regional level. The teacher is shocked that her boss is still at work.
"But to our surprise the headmaster is still reporting for duty and the best person you can talk to is the Midlands education director Mrs (Agnes) Gudo after the matter was reportedly brought to her attention," said the source who requested anonymity.
Spirited efforts to get a comment from Midlands education director Mrs Gudo, drew a blank as her mobile phone went unanswered.
