Maleme arrests kick off

State security agents with the help of members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police have started making arrests of people suspected to have been ring leaders in the Maleme weekend chaos.
Reports from the area confirm the arrest of over 30 villagers who were guarding the farm against the return of ousted Ronald Mashingaidze security personnel. A large number of police officers mostly from the Fairbridge Support Unit are reportedly terrorising the villagers demanding names of the leaders of yesterday's chaos.
Reported in the area is also a large number of "strange faces" presumed to be members of the Central Intelligence Office or the police Criminal Investigation Department who are out in full force to pick up all the people identified with causing the feud. Reports claim that a number of the highly wanted persons by the intelligence office and the police are civic leaders based in Bulawayo and Gwanda who made the journey to the village for the meeting.
Whatsapp and social media snippets being sent through by people in the area or privy to happenings in the area show a picture of a village under bliss from the police. Several people are sending through messages calling for urgent intervention from outside the district to rescue the villagers from the police.
Bulawayo24 News has in the meantime dispatched a news crew to the area to verify the reports being sent through.
