Lupane Central Intelligence Organization boss is in trouble for allegedly assaulting the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) police officer accusing him of going around talking rubbish about him.
Lupane Police sources said the officer in Charge of the CIO in Lupane, Jerry Zibotshwa assaulted detective sergeant Carryon Ndebele on February 1 and the matter is being handled by the Lupane police who have since opened a docket for the senior secret agency officer.
"Zibotshwa approached Ndebele with his boys (juniors) and accused him of going around talking bad things about him before assaulting him," said the highly place source. "The police have since compiled a docket but the matter is still with the police who are still probing it further before taking the case to the courts."
The source said the assault of Ndebele was committed while they were drinking beer at Wise Waters Bar in Lupane.
The source said the docket has been sent to Hwange Regional Court where Zibotshwa is set to appear charged with assault.
Matabeleland North Police Spokesperson Sipiwe Makonese was not in office when repeatedly contacted for comment yesterday. He mobile number was not reachable.
But the reliable source said the docket was some time sent to the courts and returned to the police for further investigations.
