Former Tsholotsho North MP Roselyn Nkomo of the United Movement for Democratic Change has vowed to inflict another embarrassing defeat on Information Minister Jonathan Moyo in by-elections expected soon.
Moyo lost the July 2013 parliamentary polls to Nkomo but rejected the outcome citing alleged irregularities.
Nkomo, under MDC-T ticket got 4 800 votes against Moyo's 4 646.
Moyo went to court seeking nullification of his defeat without any joy.
Now Nkomo is quoted in the Chronicle saying Moyo stands no chance against her in any election.
" I know Zanu-PF will run there with their dogs and everything including its old people because (ZANU PF national commissar, Cde Saviour) Kasukuwere said Jonathan should bring back the Tsholotsho seat.
" If my party says I should contest for the seat in the by-elections, l'll do so. I know I will win again against Jonathan," she vowed.
Moyo is said to be currently campaigning using Tsholotho FC by promising villagers that a football stadium will be built this year.
Once built, that will result in Dynamos, Caps United and other Premier Soccer League teams playing Tsholotsho.
