Tsholotsho South legislator Zenzo Sibanda has revealed that traditional chiefs in the constituency are shy to have dialogue with Information minister Jonathan Moyo after losing to opposition MDC-T.
Moyo fell to then MDC-T's Roselyn Nkomo in 31 July 2013 polls.
"We recently visited traditional leaders in Tsholotsho North and they all revealed that they were now embarrassed to talk to Prof Moyo after people voted for an MDC-T candidate but now with the opportunity availed to them they could talk to him, knowing that their subjects would correct their past mistakes.
"In that constituency we have 10 wards and in each of these wards we have 40 people who are actively campaigning, of which all of them are registered voters, meaning even before we go to elections we have over 400 assured votes plus wherever we go people are accepting us and everything is going accordingly, we are simply waiting for the by-elections," Sibanda is quoted saying by Sunday News..
The incumbent legislator of Tsholotsho North, Mrs Roselyn Sipepa Nkomo has been accused of neglecting the constituency amid revelations that since she was voted in, she had never uttered a word in Parliament.
