Man loses two teeth over juju

A villager from Claremount in Fort Rixon is lucky to be alive after he was attacked by three neighbours with pick handle, iron bar, axe and stones leading him to lose two teeth in the process.

Dalumuzi Dube (27), Prince Mwale (30) and Mcedisi Mpofu (28) pleaded guilty to an assault charge when they appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Charity Maphosa.

The magistrate remanded the matter to a later date for trial.

The court heard that on February 12 this year the complainant Gcinukuthula Dlamini of Mkhayeni village in Claremount was at Mkhayeni Shopping centre. At 11pm he left the centre going to his home. Which was 800 metres from the centre. While at his gate the three pounced on him using the stated tools and as a result he lost two upper teeth.

A report made to the police led to the arrest of the three.
