Rapist sold out by his axe

A Nyamandlovu rapist aged 28 who was only identified through an axe he left at the crime scene has been jailed for effective 15 years.
Mduduzi Ncube sneaked into a 17 year old victim's room at 1 am on March 14, removed the light bulb and raped her.
The victim told the court that she woke up thinking it was a goblin that was sexually abusing her.
She screamed for assistance forcing Ncube to flee, leaving his axe behind.
Ncube was identified by the victim after she went around the village the next morning looking for the axe owner. The axe was only identified by Ncube's cousin.
In passing judgment magistrate Chirspen Mberewere said "You wasted the courts time and pleaded not guilty when you knew very well that you committed the crime.
"During cross examination you also told the court that you had been possessed by evil spirits which led you to the girls room and lied that you didn't rape her," said an angry magistrate.
