Melusi Ncube, who works at Inyellow Stampmill in Simelamela Village, attacked Mathaphelo Ndlovu, 22, after she refused to reconcile with him.
Three months of the sentence were suspended for five years on condition that he does not within the period commit a similar offence.

He said Melusi tried to fondle his ex-girlfriend but she refused.

He said Ndlovu reported the matter to the police resulting in her ex-boyfriend's arrest.
