Insiza North National Assembly Member Andrew Langa is reportedly on the verge of being fired from Zanu PF as minister after his district, Insiza, called for his expulsion.

Langa who is also Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture has been accused of corruption and abuse of office. He is reportedly "tarnishing Zanu PF's 'good image'."

A meeting convened on Tuesday at the district party offices resolved that Langa should be expelled from the party as he is allegedly working against the principles of Zanu PF.

According to ZBC, Politburo member Naison Khutshwekhaya Ndlovu said such conduct is counter-revolutionary since Zanu PF fought for people's right to the land.

The party members appended their signatures on a petition that will be forwarded to the politburo.

Recently, Langa  was  fingered in land scam and accused of  created five unregistered villages and imposed 17 village heads who illegally sold over 2 000 stands in Insiza District.

He is  in serious debt and could likely be evicted from his home and other properties in Filabusi due to his continued failure to pay rent, a staggering $39 115 in unpaid rent, dating as far back as 2009.

Langa was suspended from being the party's Matabeleland South provincial chairperson last year for allegedly working with former Vice-President Joice Mujuru to topple President Mugabe.
