TSHOLOTSHO FC snatched a point at Rufaro yesterday after a 0-0 stalemate with champions Dynamos - and one supporter who couldn't be prouder was Information Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo.

Prof Moyo, running for MP in a June 10 by-election in Tsholotsho North, made sure the Premier League debutants fulfilled their fixture by picking up their hotel and other expenses in Harare.

This is the second time Prof Moyo has chipped in to help his hometown club this season. On the first day of the season, he also used his personal funds to pay for the club's accommodation and upkeep in the capital. On that day, he was rewarded with a 2-0 win over Harare City - their first ever three points in the top flight.

"Go Tsholotsho Go!", Prof Moyo roared on Twitter after they drew yesterday to maintain their mid-table position.

He added in another tweet: "Iziqholo zeZhwane for shuwa. Endleleni ngenkani."

Prof Moyo is a keen supporter of Tsholotsho since their days in the lower leagues.

He has mobilised funds for a $4,5 million stadium for the club, whose construction is set to resume soon.

Tsholotsho FC can use any help they can get at the moment after the club's owner, Mandla Manyathela, suffered a massive blow when fire gutted his supermarket in Tsholotsho.
