Gwanda install pre-piad water meters

GWANDA Municipality is seeking companies to supply and install pre-paid water meters as it embark on a pilot project.
Most local authorities are exploring the feasibility of switching to pre-paid water meters.
"The Municipality of Gwanda intends to pilot with pre-paid water meters in residential suburbs and commercial areas through a Private Partnership Agreement.
"The municipality therefore invites companies for the supply and installation of pre-paid water meters from reputable contractors and finance companies who have successfully undertaken similar works in the recent past," said Town Clerk Paul Nkala in a notice.
However, the targeted suburbs are yet to be known.
Interested companies have up to July 3 to submit bids, Nkala said.
