A snake in Mashala area in Hwange said to have flying powers is reportedly killing livestock in the community.
So feared is the creature that villages from Mashala and Kasibo, a village 17km away have change walking routes, B-Metro reported.
Village head - Jameson Dube said he has encountered the snake while herding his cattle.
He said the snake has made one of the hills in the area its base forcing them to seek pastures elsewhere.
"This snake has terrorised us for a long time, it would seem that its encounters are seasonal as it doesn't always make its presence known.
"I have not seen it clearly as it makes its flight on treetops but I have heard its screams and loud hissing," said Dube.
He claimed to have lost two beasts to the snake.
