Social commentators have bemoaned lack of development in Beitbridge amid revelations the public toilets at the border town are substandard a development which is blamed on lack of devolution.
Methuseli Moyo said he was in Beitbridge and he was being baffled by the state of toilets at the border town.
"My main problem is not the bottlenecks, but the portrude smell from the toilets which is engulfing this complex. Why detain people in such a filthy place? Zimbabwe is a disgrace," said Moyo.
Casper Ngwenya said devolution of power will be a solution.
"Under Devolution of power, all the money generated at Beitbridge, will be used to develop the Beitbridge community," he said.
"At the moment all the outputs of Beitbridge goes to Zvimba. Ingungu maseyizadabuka ikhala kakhulu njalo masekuzakhanya kuba mnyama kakhulu. Sekuzakhanya eZimbabwe."
Nomasonto Mafu said Beitbridge is dirty.
