Chief Vezi Maduna blasts politicians

The chairperson of the Matabeleland South Provincial Chiefs Council, Chief Vezi Maduna has lambasted political leaders who fan divisions as their acts are retrogressive to the development of the province.

Traditional leaders in the province say while they are trying to unite the people at the grassroots level, the animosity that exists between some political leaders is countering their peace building initiatives.

"People must reject such leaders who divide them for political mileage," said Chief Maduna during the recent commissioning of Saphila Clinic in Filabusi.

He urged political leaders to direct their energy towards the development of the region which is facing a host of socio-economic challenges.
