Police hunt for Victoria Falls armed robbers

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is investigating six cases of armed robbery in which two unknown male adults pounced at a cottage and a church in Victoria Falls and stole goods valued at US$2470.

ZRP Spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba confirmed the robberies which took place on the 13th of August 2015.

On the said date at around midnight, the two suspects armed with an axe and knife approached a receptionist at the cottage and threatened to kill her before robbing her of cash and a cellphone.

The suspects then approached three clients booked at the cottage and two caretakers at a certain church and robbed them of the clothes, cash and cellphones before escaping.

Police are appealing for information leading to the arrest of the two culprits, and anyone with information should report to the nearest police station or contact the ZRP National Complaints desk on telephone number 04-703631.
