Woman beats fellow neighbour with pot in a dispute over mobile phone

A WOMAN from Plot 12 Makholeni Rosebank in Umguza assaulted her fellow neighbour in a dispute over cell phone.
Noreen Moyo (25) pleaded not guilty to the charge but was convicted at the close of the state case after overwhelming evidence was established against her.
The magistrate Gladmore Mushove sentenced her to 10 months in jail . Three months of the sentence were suspended for five years on condition of good behaviour.
The court heard that on August 20 2015 Moyo was with Chidochemoyo Chayeruka (23) at plot number 10 Veni Compound in Umguza when they had an argument over the complainant's cellphone which had been taken by Moyo.
Moyo became angry and assaulted her with aluminiam pot several times on the hands and stormach. A report made to the police led to Moyo's arrest.
