Man burns neighbours' house in a fight over cellphone

A man from villager 19 Shiloh 2 farm in Bubi Matabeleland North allegedly got infuriated by his neighbour who accused him of stealing his mobile phone and set his house ablaze destroying property worth over $1 800 in revenge for the accusations.
Blessing Moyo (18 ) appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Adeline Mbewure charged with malicious damage to property.
He was not asked to plead to the charge and was further remanded.
The court heard that on April 8 2015 at 10am Percy Ndebele (34) of Village 24 Shiloh 2 farm in Bubi arrived at his home from the dip tank much to his surprise to find his house blazing in fire. It is the state case that earlier on Ndebele had quarreled with Moyo over his lost cellphone which he suspected that Moyo had stolen.
On making inquiries Moyo told Ndebele that he was the one who set his house alight. He could not further detail the reasons of the action. The fire destroyed property worthy $1 875.
