A shop keeper at Mbembesi Business Centre allegedly stole goods worth over $400 from her employer.

Veneer Nyathi (21) was not asked to plead to the theft charge when she appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Batanai Tuwe.

The magistrate remanded him to a further date for trial.

The court heard that on September 15 2015 Nyathi created a shortfall in the stock at the shop resulting to $540 not being accounted for.

This was discovered by her employer Jabulani Dube (33) during a stock take which was conducted between July 6 and August 15.

The value of the theft was $490 after it was discovered that only good worth $50 were taken through credit.

A report made to the police led to Nyathi's arrest.
