Bulawayo prostitutes invade Nkayi

IN pursuit of greener pastures Bulawayo prostitutes are reportedly invading Nkayi business centre where they are allegedly initiating school girls into the oldest profession.
Nkayi Business Centre has about five bars, some of which operate till morning.
The new breed of sex workers are said to operate in daylight using nearby lodges and rented rooms in the township.
The sex workers are reportedly sending a wave of excitement as most pleasure seekers from Nkayi are willing to go an extra mile for their services.
Speaking to B-Metro, identifying herself only as Monalisa, one of the ladies of the night said she knew about the Nkayi operations.
She added that their clients preferred smart and sophisticated ladies adding that school girls were easy to groom.
"Some school girls envy our style, the hairstyles and make-up. They are the right candidates. Clients like them. If I organise a young girl for a client half of the money is mine. Besides, those rural girls don't need more money like we do," said Monalisa.
Nkayi Acting Chief Tshugulu expressed disappointment at these ladies of the night.
"Bulawayo prostitutes have thronged our community in large numbers. They have even initiated school girls into their trade. We don't know what to do because police are not taking any action," he said.
Monalisa said that they were thronging Nkayi because of huge profit margins in comparison to Bulawayo.
"Business is lucrative that side. There are people from all walks of life and mostly businesspeople. What most people like is that clients that side are willing to part with large amounts of money. Instead of $2 per round you are bound to spend the whole night with your client and get more than $50 depending on the client."
"The advantage with Nkayi is that most clients would be travelling and they don't have accommodation in that area.
So we book rooms from the township at lower rates. By accommodating clients for the night and providing services they end up getting larger amounts," she said.
