Blanket changes into a human being in Lupane

Villagers in Malaba ward in Lupane are in a state of shock after a blanket reportedly changes into a human being at night causing anyone who passes it to get lost.

The blanket is said to be by the road side in the village and belongs to an old woman identified as MaMlotshwa.

A villager said: "I have known the blanket for three years and at night it changes into a human being.

"When I first saw it, it is was red in colour and changed to a faded colour due to effects of weather," he said.

"We hear that it came from MaMlotshwa's homestead with prophets whom she had called. The blanket has a goblin which is now terrorising villagers."

Added another villager, Brighton Moyo, "When I passed by, I saw a short person wearing white clothes and he came right in the middle of the road.

"When I tried to dodge the person, I suddenly struggled to establish the direction I was taking.

"I circled around the area from 9 pm till morning because I could only see this short person".

"When I got tired I sat down and slept but when I woke up I was under the tree where the blanket was also."

The old woman, MaMlotshwa confessed that prophets were called to her place to deal with the mystery blanket.
