Headmaster turns pupils into 'satanic prophets'

A headmaster at Mwele Primary School, in Gwatemba village in Filabusi has turned his pupils into prophets after he 'anointed' them.

Takawira  Maparara is said to be a pastor. He is said to have mysterious powers that have turned pupils against teachers and villagers.

 Villagers now fear that he used satanic powers as most pupils who he 'anointed' as prophets reportedly seemed to have turned insane.

"We have been having terrible scenes at the school, having to chase after these pupils who have been disturbing lessons with their prophecies.

"Maparara anointed a number of pupils and said they were now prophets. When he prayed for them, they would say they managed to hook the praying powers.

"These pupils when they are in the alleged spirit run around the school claiming to be killing goblins in the process naming and shaming teachers whom they accuse of witchcraft.

"the teachers and other pupils had a torrid time in catching up with pupils-cum prophets as the headmaster at the end of prophecies had to cool them down acknowledging their works' said a  source at the school.

The deputy head, a Mrs Dube is said to be the target of the young prophets.

She reported the matter to the province education authorities who asked her to bring evidence.

 She then recorded the pupils during their bizarre moments.

However, she got a beating from Maparara who realised they Dube was gathering evidence.
