Hooker bites off friend's ear over boyfriend

Margret Matemuza of Mkoba 14 extension bit off her friend's ear in a row over a boyfriend.

Mateza was on Thursday lucky to escape jail after she was ordered to perform 350 hours of community service by a magistrate.

Prosecutors told the court that on October 20 this year at around 2PM, Matemuza and her friend Chikarara with whom she shared a house went with the latter's boyfriend to Mazondo bottle store in Mkoba 14.

After a beer binge and at around 8PM the three went back where the two hookers stayed.

Upon arrival, Matemuza blocked Chikakarara and her boyfriend from entering (Chikakarara's) room.

Chikakarara asked why her friend was blocking her from entering the room and that is when Matemuza hit her mate with a water glass once on the head.

She went on to bite her little finger before biting off her right ear.

Chikakarara sustained a cut on the finger.

Gweru magistrate convicted Matemuza on assault charges before slapping her with 12 months in jail.

Two months were suspended for five years on condition of good behaviour.

A further 10 months were suspended on condition that she completes 350 hours of community service at Mkoba primary school.

A report was made to the police leading to Matemuza's arrest.
