Man assaults former lover for refusing to be intimate with him

A man from Ntabazinduna has been slapped with 7 weeks of community service after he assaulted his former girlfriend for refusing to be intimate with him.
Zenzo Sikhosana (34) pleaded guilty to the assault charge when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate sitting at the Mbembesi circuit court.
He was convicted and sentenced to 12 months in jail.
Five months of the sentence were suspended for five years on condition of good behaviour.
Seven months were suspended on condition he performed 7 weeks of community service.
The court heard that on October 14 this year at 3am Sikhosana was with Buhlebunathi Dube (30) who was once his lover at Hlanganani Bottle Store when he asked for sex to her.
Dube refused a move that angered him.
He then head butted her before poking her with a knob kerrie on the neck.
She sustained swollen neck and bruises.
A report made to the police led to his arrest.
