Acting President Emmerson Mnangagwa has paid tribute to a family friend and prominent Kwekwe farmer and businesswoman Estelle Theresa Coertzee who died on the 6th of this month during a memorial service held at Kwekwe Sports Club.

The service that celebrated the life of Mrs Coartzee was attended by Acting President Mnangagwa who described her as a kind and compassionate woman who will be remembered for her philanthropic work in Kwekwe and beyond.

Mnangagwa said the Midlands province has been left poorer without Mrs Coartzee who was always ready to assist and empower others, especially in dairy farming.

He said the province is currently the biggest producer of milk because of people like the late Mrs Coartzee who introduced her out-growers programme to support farmers who want to venture into dairy farming.

The grieving grandchildren of Mrs Coartzee said they have lost a gentle soul who has left them with many wonderful memories.

The memorial service was graced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, farmers from surrounding areas, civil servants and other senior government officials.
