Villagers in Tsholotsho have appealed to the government for the upgrading of Tsholotsho centre into an urban centre or town lamenting that the area lags behind in many developmental issues.
The villagers said due to poor road network in the district they were having serious problems to reach Bulawayo where most of the commercial and government services are accessible.
"We are asking government to develop Tsholotsho centre into a town for us to get services close to our homes. We also appeal for government to upgrade and construct our roads because at the moment they are in a sorry state," said a villager.
Tsholotsho is one of the most districts in Matabeleland which are seriously lagging behind despite the fact that they are currently under the ruling Zanu PF MPs.
Tsholotsho north is under Zanu PF MP Jonathan Moyo while Tsholotsho South is under Zanu PF MP Zenzo Sibanda.
