A 39-YEAR-OLD Mangwe man has been arraigned for forcibly inserting his finger into his wife's privates after she denied him sex.
Khulisani Sibanda from Makhubu Village first beat up his wife, Jesca Moyo during a dispute, the court heard. He allegedly demanded sex from his wife who turned him down indicating that she had sustained bruises during the beating.
This did not please Sibanda who out of fury pushed his forefinger in her private parts in a bid to arouse her. Sibanda appeared on initial remand before Plumtree magistrate, Gideon Ruvetsa facing physical abuse and aggravated indecent assault charges.
Ruvetsa remanded him in custody to March 24. Prosecuting, Jane Phiri said a misunderstanding ensued between Sibanda and his wife after he accused her of having extra marital affairs.
"On February 15 Sibanda and his wife received a letter from the headmaster of Makhubu Primary School summoning them to the school to explain why they were failing to pay school fees for their children.
"Sibanda met the headmaster who told him that he had to pay $54 for his two children," said Phiri.
She said when Sibanda got home he accused his wife of having an affair with several teachers at the school.
He went on to allege that the school fees he was being asked to pay was higher than what other pupils were paying because teachers at the school wanted to fix him.
Phiri said Sibanda lost his temper and assaulted his wife with a leather belt.
"Sibanda later demanded sex from his wife but she refused saying her body was aching. Sibanda tore his wife's panties and inserted his forefinger in her private parts in attempt to arouse her. He further accused her of denying him sex because she was already enjoying it with other men," said Phiri.
