MOTIVATIONAL author, Marshal Chiza sold more than 200 copies of his debut book, Success in no Time, at its launch at Eagle Life Assembly Church in Bulawayo on Thursday night.
The book is selling for $10 but one of the people at the launch bought it for $100.
The book is available on sale at Eagle Life Assembly Church and at the Bulawayo Public Library.
More than 500 people turned up for the launch where popular Harare based comedians Bhutisi na Kheda of the P.O Box fame warmed up delegates with their captivating jokes as MCs.
Marshal said he is humbled by the support he got from the delegates and said: "There's no dream that's small because if someone could invent a tooth pick then it means with that little dream you could do something."
Prophet Blessing Chiza said he feels proud of his nephew.
"As a family we're very proud of Marshal because he has done something that's wonderful. I've been mentoring him and I realise that he's doing exactly what I taught him and I hope other youths from our church will follow suit," said Prophet Chiza.
He said Marshal set a new record by publishing a book at 18.
"He's just 18 years and that makes him one of the very young writers in Zimbabwe and Africa at the moment. I hope it'll inspire him to maintain the standard and write more books that will have an impact on his peers," said the prophet.
Prophet Chiza implored other youths to emulate Marshal and shun anti-social behaviours such as taking drugs or drinking beer.
He said the book was a must read for everyone who wants to lead a successful life.
"The book could help one to realise his full potential because it acts as generator to kick start one to work hard towards his or her dream," he said.
The P.O Box pair praised the young writer.
"The young man has done something that some older people are failing to do. Great future lies ahead because book iri rakazara neruzivo (The book is full of inspiring message that could change some one's life)," said the P. O Box pair.
Seasoned motivational author who edited the book, Jonah Nyoni, said the motivational book could change how one views life.
