Bulawayo City Council is corruption free

MDC-T has declared that Bulawayo City Council is corruption free and Government should not waste resources probing it's councillors.

Government recently dispatched a probe team to investigate a string of questionable land deals.

A report is due in coming weeks.

MDC-T Organising Secretary Abednego Bhebhe told reporters Thursday that government should not harass their members.

"Police have long investigated our councillors and have proved that  there is no corruption in Bulawayo.

"No one has been arrested," said Bhebhe.

He added "Its a political statement from a regime that is desperate.

"They should leave our councillors alone.

"We don't have records of protecting corrupt councillors.

"Our Bulawayo councillors are clean.

"We have dealt with corrupt ones in Chitungwiza."
