War vet sleeps with spear, axe under bed

An ex-combatant in Emakhandeni township in Bulawayo - Edward Sibanda sleeps with an assortment of deadly weapons under his bed.
This has terrified his wife Lucy Sibanda who was once threatened to be killed in her sleep by Edward.
She has turned to the courts for protection.
The pair have been married since 1994.
"Every time we go to bed he brings an axe and a spear into the bedroom which he keeps under the bed.
"He is using that axe to threaten me whenever we have domestic disputes," she said.
She said the latest threats where on June 2 and she made a police report.
She did not share the bedroom with Edward that night.
Edward denied the allegations but was ordered not to harass his wife.
