A section of Zimbabweans in South Africa have vowed that Mthwakazi republic will never be destroyed by anybody even though a large population of its people are in the diaspora.
Hundreds of Zimbabweans in South Africa yesterday held commemorations for the late vice president Joshua Nkomo organised by Matabeleland Entertainment News.
Participants said the commemorations where meant to showcase Mthwakazi artistic talents.
Several groups ranging from Ezomdabu cultural dance, Amanqe, Thulie Mangethe, Nicky, MMM Zenzele Nkomo, UMthombo weskristu Gospel Messengers, Dibi Mtshakula, Intombi yosiko, Bozoe and Madlela among others entertained the crowed.
"Today Mthwakazi people are show casing their talents in far away places because they have systematically been forced out of their motherland" said one of the participants.
"Those Gukurahundists who created the 1979 Grand plan thinking that they were going to destroying this great Nation were joking Mthwakazi is here to stay.
"They frustrated the survivors of Gukurahundi genocide in Mthwakazi forcing them to leave their motherland, Mthwakazi to go to South Africa not knowing that Mthwakazi by going to South Africa will regroup and find a way forward, now we are about to Restore our Nation South Africa has democracy that has given us free space to regroup and plan our future in a free environment" added another.
"Here there is no Satanic Zimbabwe Republic Police, and their equally evil army that killed more than 20 000 of our people. CIOs are here but have little influence to stop Mthwakazi people from regrouping".
Mehluli Moyo of Joshua Nkomo Cultural organisation said their organisation is meant to squash lies about Nkomo's legacy. He said the smear campaign against him stated in 1961.
He said Nkomo fought gallantly for a free Zimbabwe, one man one vote and quest for equality non tribalism and non racialism.
Mqondisi Moyo, Mthwakazi Republic Party President encouraged the youths to think about pursuing Mthwakazi Restoration.
