Unlicensed driver crashes, dies on the spot

GWANDA - Donald Nsingo (28) from Bulawayo who was allegedly driving without a licence along Bulawayo-Beitbrigde died on the spot near Gwanda when he veered off the road and crashed as he tried to overtake another vehicle.
Mat-South Spokesperson Inspector Philisani Ndebele confirmed the accident.
It is alleged that Nsingo from Bulawayo was driving towards Gwanda from Bulawayo carrying four passengers with him.
Along the 46 km peg he tried to overtake two heavy vehicles without checking if the road was clear and he suddenly saw an on-coming vehicle.
He tried to avoid a head-on collision by veering off the road to the right but he went on to hit a tree and the vehicle overturned once before landing on its wheels.
The driver sustained serious head injuries and died on the spot. All the four passengers were injured.
Police investigations concluded that the accident occurred due to human error and the driver had no licence.
