Zimbabwe Republic Police deployed several officers to turn away any opposition Zimbabwe People First member who dared to the venue of a planned rally today.
Police blocked the rally claiming they have no manpower to provide security only to deploy police to chase away ZimPF members from gathering.
"The forces of darkness have thrown spanners into our Ntabazinduna rally. We regret to say we are unable to proceed with the rally' said ZimPF spokesperson Methuseli Moyo.
He added "On the positive, the regime's determination to disrupt our political programmes is a clear sign that they are feeling the heat and dead scared. Police were deployed to turn away people coming for the rally, while the wheels of justice moved rather very slowly to frustrate us. Meanwhile, the Gwanda rally is on tomorrow".
During the day, ZimPF lawyers made frantic efforts to get a court clearance.
