BCC 2017 labour costs pegged at $38 million

Bulawayo City Council has presented a budget that would translate in $38 121 218 directed to labour cost.

The local authority on Monday tabled a proposed 2017 budget of $153 million with zero tariff increases.

This is a third time in a row that council is not increasing rates.

However, parent ministry, the Local Government has failed to approve it on time.

"I would like to mention that the 2017 proposed budget is a standstill budget, with no tariff increases," councillor Mlandu Ncube as he tabled the budget.

Capital budget figure stand at $48 109 346 and the revenue budget stood at $105 457 120.
