Man steal three condoms

A Chitungwiza man - Canaan Guveya travelled all the way to Hwange to steal three condoms and 20 Pacific cigarettes.

Guveya was nabbed at OK Supermarket.

In court he pleaded guilty but blamed his actions on alcohol.

"I admit to the charges, it's just that I was very drunk after having taken a lot of opaque beer.

"I heard that Chipangano is a very good football team, so I had come all the way from Harare to support them."

Hwange magistrate Rosemary Dube is due to sentence him on Friday.
