Man 'kills' in-law over lobola

Thomas Moyo of Lutho Village under Chief Mabhikwa in Lupane allegedly killed his brother in-law by striking him with a log for continuously pestering him for lobola.

Ncube (52), died after he was repeatedly hit on the head by Moyo (63) of the same area.

Ncube was rushed to St Luke's Hospital and was transferred to Mpilo Central Hospital where he died upon admission.

The incident occurred on Thursday last week at around 9PM.

National police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba confirmed the incident.


Villagers said Ncube had a tendency of beating up Moyo over non-payment of lobola for his sister.
