Mugabe's Chief Justice Chidyausiku retires

Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku's tenure of office ends February next year and the Judicial Service Commission has started hunting for his replacement. 

His successor is expected to assume office on March 1, next year.The JSC is inviting interested candidates to apply for the position of the Chief Justice to be advertised in the media, starting tomorrow."The

Judicial Service Commission announces that a vacancy of Chief Justice of the Republic of Zimbabwe will arise by operation of law on 1 March 2016," said JSC.

It said in terms of Section 180 (2) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, members of the public are invited to nominate suitably qualified persons to fill the position.
