Boy (10) killed over stolen eggs

A 10-year-old boy has been murdered in Hlabathini Village, Matabeleland North, by his step father over three eggs.
The boy reportedly stole and boiled the eggs without his 49-year-old father's permission.
National police spokesperson Charity Charamba said the man returned home from a beer drinking binge and was told that his step son had stolen three eggs which he boiled and ate.
"The man was irritated and assaulted the boy using clenched fists on his face.
"He also struck the boy with a twelve volt solar battery on the head and he collapsed and died" she said.
