Makandiwa prophesies conspiracies to tarnish his image

UNITED Family International Church (UFIC) founder Emmanuel Makandiwa on Sunday prophesied conspiracies to tarnish his image by one of his pastors whom he said he would soon suspend.
The pastor, he said, would be suspended in the same manner his younger brother Pastor Tawanda Makandiwa had been punished for divorcing his wife.
Makandiwa made the revelations during the Sunday main church service where he said the pastor - whose name he did not disclose - was going to claim he (Makandiwa) possessed supernatural powers and practised Satanism to perform miracles.
"There will be another pastor whom I will suspend, but he will begin to collect DVDs from a long time ago and start showing them as proof of how close he was to me in a bid to demonise me," Makandiwa said.
"The man will hold public meetings lying to people that Prophet Makandiwa has strange things he uses to achieve supernatural powers, and that pastor I am prophesying about is here with us today."
Makandiwa said the demonising spree by the pastor would happen after he was suspended from duty.
He said some of his congregants were involved in different unholy activities, and he was aware of them.
"I have not prophesied on some of you, but do not think that I am not aware of what you are doing. I cannot spend two seconds with you and fail to decode every detail about your life. Whenever I choose to keep my silence, be careful because God
Himself will be taking the measure against your sins," Makandiwa said.
He advised it was wise for any senior member of the UFIC involved in sinful acts to recuse themselves from church duties.
The threats by Makandiwa to fire more pastors come hard on the heels of the suspension of his personal assistant and brother Tawanda from active duty over a divorce case which he filed at the High Court in October last year claiming his wife, Lovejoy Makandiwa (nee Choto), had embarrassing suicidal tendencies.
Makandiwa said there had been several attempts, both as a prophet and brother to solve Tawanda's marriage woes to no avail, adding he strongly disagreed with divorce as a way of solving marital problems.
Other pastors who were suspended for wrongdoing included his general manager only referred to as Kwaramba whom Makandiwa said was in the same boat with Tawanda without giving further details.
Makandiwa, however, said his church had not given up on the suspended pastors, while describing his brother Tawanda as having been instrumental in contributing to the church ministry.
"Do not think that we have given up on those we have suspended. I actually now need them much more closer to me than ever," he said.
