United Family International Church has secured a 'prayer mountain' at an undisclosed, out-of-town place.

Addressing church members last week, Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa announced that the church has secured a prayer mountain and necessary measures are being taken before worshippers are directed to the mountain.

"We are going to meet this Friday in Chitungwiza and we break on Saturday before meeting again on Sunday. After failing to secure a place for our Judgment Night at National Sports Stadium (NSS), we were satisfied with the response from the authorities. We all agree that the church is growing and we cannot all sit in the NSS this year with the growing number of membership," said Makandiwa.

The charismatic prophet added: "UFI has secured a prayer mountain where there are some hills and we are going to name them according to what the spirit tells us. It's on top of a mountain and hills surrounding it where all intercessors will have more time to worship any time without hindrances. We will give you directions after all has been set up. Necessary measures are taking place before we give directions to church members."

Makandiwa told the congregation that he is targeting pagans (a person holding religious beliefs other than those of the main world religions).

"We have almost 2 billion pagans out there and UFI must target such people to bring them to Christ other than relying on people from other denominations. I received a call from one of the pastors from another ministry suggesting that he wants to bring his followers to join us and the Holy Spirit told me that he himself was the one following his flock that has since left him," he said.

Makandiwa took the opportunity to thank those supporting the ministry in cash and in kind saying it is making his ministry easier to fulfill its mission.

"We want to thank those supporting the ministry by stretching their hands in offerings and tithes for this is making the ministry easier," he said.
