Government commends SDA church

Th Zimbabwe government has urged the Seventh Day adventist church to maintain its critical role in strengthening local education by providing quality education at church run schools and other training institutions.
Speaking at the 2013 National Teachers' Convention which brought together teachers from Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) schools around the country, the Deputy Minister of Education, Sport, Arts and Culture, Lazarus Dokora hailed the church for establishing 86 primary and 44 secondary schools as a step in advancing national development through education.
Anderson Adventist High School Headmaster, Mr Caxton Mukasvanga said the SDA church is striving to keep abreast with technology by introducing e-learning in all schools.
The 2013 National Teachers Convention is running from the 28th to the 31st of March and has attracted over 700 teachers from SDA schools providing a platform for teachers to update their exchange notes.
