A Binga family reportedly beat up a prophet who had cleansed their homestead after he refused to take two beasts as payment.
He demanded two girls instead.
Tge Nyoni family say they were being terrorised by goblins when they sought help from Prophet Isaac Mudimba (58).
It is reported that Mudimba stayed at Nyoni's homestead for a month while cleansing it and he was successful as the family started having peace at their home after a long time.
Trouble started when it was time for payment as Mudimba told the Nyoni family that chasing away goblins had not been an easy job therefore he needed their two daughters as payment.
The head of the family Oscar Nyoni, his wife Anita and their son aged 14 reportedly beat up the prophet after they failed to reach an agreement.
They thrashed him until he fainted and the family, fearing that they could have killed him, alerted neighbours.
Fortunately, Mudimba regained consciousness and proceeded to the police where he reported the matter, leading to the arrest of the three.
The three family members were hauled before Binga magistrate, Mr Stephen Ndlovu and they pleaded guilty to the charges saying the prophet had provoked them.
Oscar told the court that they bashed the 'man of God' because he wanted to take advantage of their problems.
He stunned the court when he revealed that Prophet Mudimba was demanding his two daughters aged 10 and 15 as payment.
The angry man revealed that they became angry and attacked Prophet Mudimba when he told them that if they refused to give him the two young girls, he would miraculously turn the girls into goblins too.
The magistrate ordered Nyoni to pay Mudimba as agreed on beforehand and remanded the family members out of custody to 8 April.
